Wembley Stadium celebrates green goals

Wembley Stadium has signed up a fleet of new eco vehicles.

The stadium team has worked with resource management experts, Veolia, to source electric and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) powered vehicles to sweep up around the stadium after every event.

The eco-fleet, will reduce emissions by up to 90% and ensure the home of football continues to be one of the greenest stadiums in the world.

Wembley Stadium is one of the greenest stadia in the world. It became a zero- waste-to-landfill venue in 2010 and was the first sporting venue to achieve the Carbon Trust Triple Standard in 2014. In 2018 it achieved the prestigious ISO 20121 international standard for its work in sustainability.
