Jaguars to play back-to-back home games in London in 2020

The Jacksonville Jaguars today announced that they will play two of their home games at Wembley Stadium, connected by EE, over consecutive Sundays later this year, making them the first team in NFL history to play two home games outside of the United States in the same regular season.

Opponents for the games to be played at Wembley Stadium have not yet been decided, but the Jaguars have confirmed that their home games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears in 2020 will be played in Jacksonville at TIAA Bank Field.  

This year’s games will be the 24th and 25th to be hosted at Wembley Stadium since the New York Giants took on the Miami Dolphins in October 2007. The Jaguars have played one home game annually at Wembley Stadium since 2013 to help grow the team’s brand internationally and forge business opportunities in Jacksonville, while generating team-record revenues that are reinvested in the franchise has been essential in the team’s goal to keep pace with NFL franchises of all market sizes.

Wembley Stadium is an iconic venue that hosts the biggest and best events and since our first NFL game in 2007 the fixtures have become an important part of the stadium’s history. We look forward welcoming the Jacksonville Jaguars for unprecedented back-to-back games in London this year and continuing our relationship with the NFL that has seen more than 1.9 million fans attend the 23 games we have hosted to date.”
