The 2013 Capital Summertime Ball takes place at Wembley on 9 June

This morning details of the Capital FM Summertime Ball with Vodafone were revealed live on air by 95.8 Capital FM Breakfast Show duo Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon, and echoed across the Capital network breakfast shows. The summer’s biggest party will be held on Sunday June 9th 2013 at London’s Wembley Stadium.

This year, the Summertime Ball is loaded with the most acts Capital have ever had, performing to an 80,000 strong crowd of Capital FM fans. Listeners will need to stay tuned to 95 - 106 Capital FM over the coming days for more information, including, for the first time ever, an announcement of the show’s surprise special guest host. Those registered as Capital FM VIPs and Vodafone VIP customers will have the exclusive chance to purchase tickets from 8am on Wednesday 24th April, with the general ticket sale opening at 8am on Friday 26th April.

Capital FM Breakfast Show host, Dave Berry said; “The Summertime Ball is back and I couldn’t be more excited for this year’s show. With more acts than we’ve ever had ever before, it’s certain to be the best Ball to date!”

Celebrating its fifth year as one of the Summer’s biggest music events, the Capital FM Summertime Ball follows hot on the heels of the two day sell-out Jingle Bell Ball which took place in December 2012. World class acts such as Bruno Mars, P!nk, One Direction and The Wanted performed at London’s O2 Arena to a roaring audience of 16,000 Capital Listeners on both days.

The Summertime Ball supports Capital’s flagship charity, Help A Capital Child, with a donation being made from the proceeds of the event.
