Wally will be on the Wembley Tour from 30 October to 4 November 2012

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Where’s Wally and the lovable character is visiting Wembley Stadium as part of his celebrations.

Any fan coming to the national stadium to take part in a Wembley Tour will get the chance to search for the bobble hat-wearing traveller.

And they’ll also get the chance to walk away with a limited edition Where’s Wally poster featuring famous icons of the football world lost amongst a typically crowded scene.

Stars including England captain Steven Gerrard, goalkeeper Joe Hart and Women’s defender Faye White are amongst the famous faces to feature in a special edition sporting scene to celebrate Wally’s quarter century.

Team GB stars Kelly Smith and Eniola Aluko are also involved, as well as The FA’s Sir Trevor Brooking.

Wembley icons including the Bobby Moore statue, The FA Cup and the unmistakable arch also feature in the scene created by original author and illustrator Martin Handford.

Roger Maslin, Managing Director of Wembley Stadium, said: "Wally is such an icon and we are thrilled to have him join the crowds at Wembley to celebrate his 25th Anniversary.

"He should feel at home surrounded by all the other legends that have played here. Visitors will be able to go behind-the-scenes at one of the most famous stadiums in the world while they hunt for one of the most infamous faces – and hats – in the country."

Fans of Wembley and Wally can also pick up a free limited run poster of the Where’s Wally at Wembley Sporting Scene on the Wembley Tour this half term (30th October to 4th November), so they can continue the search at home.

The real-life Wally is also at Wembley during this time to spot on a Stadium Tour!

While searching for him, visitors can walk the players’ tunnel, have their photo taken with a replica of The FA Cup and unearth historical treasures – including the 1966 World Cup crossbar and the 1948 Olympic flag.
