The Wembley 360 - the world's largest 360 sports photo, live 6pm on Sunday 6 May 2012

90,000 fans heading to The FA Cup with Budweiser Final at Wembley this weekend have the chance to become official Guinness World Record breakers, as they form part of a unique Wembley 360 panoramic photo.

Once the unique fan photo has been captured it will be uploaded to www.wembleystadium.com/wembley360 from 6pm on Sunday 6th May and form part of Wembley’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘Most Tagged Photograph’.

For the first time in Wembley’s history fans will be invited to actively participate in a Wembley record attempt by going online after the game and tagging themselves in the photograph. The current Guinness World Record for the 'Most Tagged Photograph' is held by Orange for a crowd shot taken in 2010 at Glastonbury which received over 7,000 tags from music fans.

Aside from staking its claim as the ‘Most Tagged Photograph’, the Wembley 360 degree crowd shot is set to be one of the largest images of a major sporting event. Estimated at 27 Gigapixels, the photo will beat last year’s 23 Gigapixel photo taken at the 2011 FA Cup Final. The remarkable feat of internet publishing will see the image captured and merged into a huge online photo in less than 24 hours after The Cup is lifted.

Working with renowned photographer Jeffrey Martin from 360Cities.net, the gigantic photograph will provide a unique memory for fans of Chelsea who last reached The FA Cup Final in 2010 and Liverpool fans whose team are looking to secure a Cup double.

Been wondering Where’s Wally? Find him joining fans at The FA Cup Final for the photo. Wally will be showing his world famous stripes somewhere within the 360 degree crowd shot. Keen-eyed fans going online to tag themselves and find friends will have the chance to become Wally Watchers and win one of ten pairs of tickets to the upcoming England v Belgium International game at Wembley if they can spot Wally.

Nicole Blake, EVP, Global Marketing & Consumer Products, Classic Media, said: “Wally is delighted to be attending his first FA Cup Final and to celebrate the occasion we are proud to be teaming up with Wembley and giving his fans in the UK and around the world the chance to earn their stripes and spot him enjoying the game.”

Chelsea and Liverpool fans not lucky enough to be heading to Wembley can still get closer to the action by visiting www.wembleystadium.com/wembley360 after the game and use the zoom tool to view their heroes on the pitch and spot attending celebrities enjoying the game.

Wembley Managing Director – Roger Maslin said: “Wembley is renowned for playing host to world record breaking music and sporting performances and this year we want fans to feel a part of that heritage. Whether the team you’re following wins or loses on FA Cup Final day we want all fans to feel they have been a part of something special and have the opportunity to tell their friends they are an official Guinness World Record Breaker”.

The Wembley 360-degree panoramic photo will be uploaded to www.wembleystadium.com/wembley360 at 6pm on Sunday 6th May. Fans are invited to view the largest live event photo ever, find their friends and Facebook tag themselves.
