With an amazing seventh night now announced, Take That look on course to break Michael Jackson's 22 year record at Wembley Stadium.

The popular five piece, who will perform with Robbie Williams for the first time in 16 years on Progress Live, initially announced four nights at Wembley.

But due to amazing demand, the band have added three more dates and are expected to sell more than the 504,000 tickets sold by Jackson over the seven nights of his Bad tour in 1988.

While some major ticketing websites struggled to cope with the demand for the eargerly anticipated tour, the Club Wembley team sold more than £4m worth of tickets on a frenetic day at the home of football.

Staff were brought in from other FA departments to manage with the unprecedented level of demand for the band's visit to the stadium next July.

The huge volume of sales did not include the two additional dates that were announced by the band later in the day and the flood of sales is expected to continue into next week.

Speaking about the unprecedented sales day, Club Wembley Director Heath Harvey said: "We always knew that Take That tickets would be in high demand and we are delighted that we have been able to accommodate so many of our Club Wembley members today.

"To take more than 20,000 sales in one day is an excellent achievement and shows the real worth of being a Club Wembley member."

Tickets for the Wembley Stadium shows go on sale at 9am, Friday 29 October 2010 and are priced between £55 and £90.
