Take That make history at Wembley
Due to the extraordinary demand for seats, which saw 1.34 million tickets sell out in less than 24 hours, the band have added a further four nights to their Progress Live 2011 tour including a record breaking extra night in the capital.
The extra date in London, on Monday 4 July, will see the popular band become the only act to ever play eight dates at Wembley on the same tour, overtaking a previous record held by Michael Jackson who played seven nights at the stadium during his 1988 Bad world tour.
In order to accommadate the extra date in London, organisers have had to reschedule the planned show on Sunday 3 July for Thursday 30 June.
The promoters have apologised for the inconvenience this may cause but have revealed that tickets remain valid for customers who have already bought them. Anyone who cannot make the rescheduled date is eligible for a full refund from their point of purchase.
The band commented: "We are really sorry to have to move the dates in London but we'd heard that there was a lot of disappointment from those not being able to get tickets and this was the only way we could fit in another show.
"We hope everyone understands and look forward to seeing you all next year."
Tickets go on sale on Friday 10 December at 10am and the new dates will be the final dates added to the tour schedule.
