Saracens To Play At Wembley
Saracens will play their Guinness Premiership match against Northampton Saints on Saturday 12th September at Wembley Stadium.
The London club believe the combination of top class rugby and top class entertainment at the capital’s iconic sporting venue – and all at an extraordinary price – will prove an outstanding late summer attraction. Tickets are on sale today, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for under 16’s.
Chairman Nigel Wray said: “I've been fortunate enough to go to the new Wembley on a number of occasions and it really is a fantastic experience."
A club spokesman added: “The rugby is the main event but we are also planning top class entertainment. Details will be announced shortly, but we may well prove Britain’s got talent.”
The current world record attendance at a club rugby union match is just over 80,000 for last season’s Heineken Cup semi-final at Croke Park, in Dublin.
Tickets are on sale to season-ticket holders and club members through the club, and to the general public through www.ticketmaster.co.uk
Group sales, to rugby clubs, schools and corporate, are available through the club on 01727 792800.
