NFL Stars At Wembley
NFL stars Reggie Bush and LaDainian Tomlinson visited Wembley Stadium this week – where both will meet again on Sunday October 26th when the New Orleans Saints host the San Diego Chargers.
The pair, in London to promote the 2008 International Series game that will be played at Wembley, were given a guided tour of the stadium and got a chance to stand on the field at Wembley.
“It really is a great looking stadium,” said Saints’ running back Bush. “It is exciting to be here now, and it is going to be even better when it is full of fans in October. We are going to try to make sure that the fans that come out here truly get to see the very best of our sport.”
“Looking around here there really isn’t a bad seat in the house,” added San Diego’s Pro Bowl running back Tomlinson. “There is going to be a great atmosphere here when the game kicks off.”
For Tomlinson the opportunity to tour the stadium, see the locker-rooms and step on the field gave him the chance to start the process of getting ready for the game.“It is useful for me to be here and begin visualising what it will be like playing here, because that is an important part of my preparation for any game,” he explained.
Both players said they had enjoyed their first visit to London and were looking forward to returning in October for the real thing.
