ENGLAND v USA

England Women will face off against the USA at Wembley Stadium on Friday 7 October (KO 8pm) in an International Friendly.

UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 winners England are to play the current world champions, United States at Wembley Stadium on Friday 7 October 2022 – subject to securing FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification in September.

The high-profile international against the reigning World Cup holders would be the first meeting of the two nations at Wembley Stadium. It would also mean Sarina Wiegman and her victorious squad get a quick return to the scene of their WEURO22 celebrations when a 2-1 defeat of Germany in front of an all-time EURO record crowd of 87,192 saw them crowned European champions.

Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 2 August to My England Football members, with fans able to sign-up and register for free, and on general sale from 2pm on Wednesday 3 August. Tickets are priced at £5 for under 16s, £10 for concessions (over 65s and students) and from £10 for adults. Discounts are also available for group bookings.

Note: Should England instead be involved in the two-legged World Cup play-offs in October, anyone with a ticket for the USA fixture would be entitled to a refund and given the opportunity to buy a ticket for the play-off with time and venue to be confirmed in September. The FA and US Soccer would then work to agree a new date for the two teams to meet in future.

COVID-19

Following the Government’s easing of COVID-19 ‘Autumn and Winter Plan B’ restrictions, access requirements for Wembley Stadium connected by EE have changed.

COVID passes will no longer be enforced as a condition of entry for events at Wembley Stadium. However, we continue to urge fans to follow public health guidance to keep each other safe on a matchday, which includes wearing a face covering when on concourses, indoors and in crowded areas.

As COVID-19 restrictions ease, it is vital supporters continue to do all they can to minimise the risk of passing on COVID-19.  Here are some simple ways that you can help keep each other safe on a matchday:

• Be responsible and do not travel if you have COVID-19 symptoms

• Wear face coverings in indoor and crowded areas, including concourses

• Maintain good hand hygiene and use the sanitiser dispensers provided

• If possible, take a COVID-19 test on matchday to check there is no risk of passing on the virus

If you need any help or feel unwell when you are in the stadium, go to the nearest first aid point or seek support from our Customer Engagement Team, or one of our stewards.  Our staff will be happy to help.
