Blackpool could not have wished for a better start as Brad Potts fired Blackpool into the lead after two minutes with a neat finish from the edge of the box.
Exeter had to wait until near the end of the first half to equalise. A long ball over the top was brought down by David Wheeler who lifted it nicely over the goalkeeper’s head to make things level at half time.
Mark Cullen restored Blackpool’s lead after 62 minutes. Brad Potts did well down the right hand side and fizzed the ball across goal and Cullen was there to poke home from 6 yards.
And that was how it finished as Blackpool returned to Sky Bet League One at the first time of asking!
