Saracens V Leicester Rugby Union

Saracens and Leicester Tigers shared the spoils at Wembley Stadium on Saturday as they fought out a 9-9 draw in the Aviva Premiership.

Toby Flood kicked three penalties for the visitors while two kicks from Charlie Hodgson and a strike from Owen Farrell earned the draw for the home side in front of a crowd of 41,063.

Flood kicked two penalties in the first six minutes and even though the visitors lost captain Geordan Murphy midway through the half, they held on to lead 9-3 at the break with Flood on target once again and Owen Farrell found his range after seeing three earlier efforts go wide of the posts.

Charlie Hodgson was introduced on 50 minutes and the fly half pulled Saracens level with penalties in the 54th and 58th minutes as Sarries pressured the Tigers line.

Neither side was able to put together sustained phases of play although both had chances to win the match in the closing stages with Hodgon and Flood seeing drop goal efforts go wide of the posts but the game ended in a draw.
