Green Day

19 June 2010

Green Day played a mammoth set at Wembley for almost three hours on Saturday 19 June and lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, declared the show the biggest of their lives.

The band, as usual, brought crowd members onto the stage to perform on various songs, with one fan singing Longview accompanied by the band themselves.

Covers of (I Can't Get) No Satisfaction, Paint It Black and Hey Jude also featured before Green Day finished their set with Wake Me Up Wen Septemeber Ends and Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life).

Armstrong was in a playful mood too, wearing a St George's red cross flag on several occassions and at one point claimed "Green Day is going to win the goddamn World Cup, I can tell you that now!"
