Make an impact

The stadium has its own sustainability working group (FAST) with representatives from across Wembley Stadium’s operations team, including procurement, event operations, property and facilities management, communications, waste management, food and beverage, health and safety, corporate social responsibility, and transport.

Sustainability Rider

In 2024 we introduced the Wembley Stadium Sustainability Rider to encourage greater environmental thinking within the live events sector. It outlines the key role sustainability plays within the stadium’s operations, alongside advice and guidance for all organisations, promoters, and touring artists that host events at the venue. Procurement and Partnerships

We hold regular sustainability meetings with our partners and suppliers, constantly encouraging initiatives to reduce the stadium’s environmental impact.

Community and Worthy Causes

We give away around 20,000 event tickets to local community groups each year. We also donate soil from Wembley’s pitch annually to help regenerate local pitches and operate a Staff Volunteering programme whereby staff can take two days to volunteer on local community projects.

We are proud to lead the way in demonstrating that large-scale stadiums can significantly reduce their environmental impacts while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
