After missing out on the Johnstone's Paint Trophy seven weeks earlier at Wembley, Scunthorpe returned to beat Millwall 3-2 in a thrilling League 1 Play Off Final.

Martyn Woodfood's late strike sealed an immediate return to the Championship for The Irons in a dramatic match.

Matt Sparrow's opener was cancelled out by two Gary Alexander goals in three minutes, the first of which saw Alexander score with an emphatic finish from 30 yards.

Millwall ended the first half on top but Sparrow equalised for Scunthorpe after 70 minutes. With extra time looming, Woolford fired his shot under the Millwall keeper and avenged the Iron's Johnstone Paint Trophy heartache.
