Over 100,000 expected in a week at Wembley
Wembley Stadium looks set for a record-breaking week this month when England's Men and Women teams come to play under the arch.
With a fortnight to go over 100,000 combined tickets have been sold for the Men's European Championship qualifier with Slovenia on Saturday 15 November and the Women's meeting with Germany on Sunday 23 November.
With Roy Hodgson's side expecting to attract in excess of 80,000 fans – the biggest crowd on the planet that night – and Mark Sampson's 'Lionesses' hoping for a record 45,000 crowd on their first match at the new Wembley, it promises to be a thrilling eight days for the national stadium.
There will also be an opportunity to see some of the brightest young talents in the English game in the lead up to the Slovenia game, with the Men's Under-21s, U20s and U19s playing across the country.
On Wednesday 12 November England U20s host Canada at AFC Bournemouth, a day later Gareth Southgate's Under-21s side take on Portugal at Burnley's Turf Moor home, and the U19s take on Italy at Rotherham United's New York Stadium on Friday 14 November.
