England will play their first competitive home fixture of 2008 against Kazakhstan in a World Cup 2010 qualifier on Saturday 11 October 2008.

This will be the first time that the two sides have met and it will be England's third match of the qualifying campaign.

This qualifying campaign also sees England come up against Croatia - the team that ended England's chances of qualifying for Euro 2008 at Wembley last November.

England will be keen to put aside the disappointment of failing to qualify for Euro 2008 by embarking on a strong qualifying campaign for the World Cup in South Africa.
