England v Croatia
9 September 2009
Kick off: TBC
England and Croatia meet again at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday 9th September as England look for revenge after losing to Croatia last November and subsequently failing to qualify for the 2008 European Championships. This match is certain to play a pivotal role in the qualification from Group 6.
England last played Croatia in September 2008, winning 4-1 in Zagreb, ending Croatia’s thirty-six match unbeaten run. Of the six times the countries have met, England have won three times.
Did you know? Croatia are the only country to have won FIFA’s ‘Best Mover of the Year’ award twice in recognition of their progress up the FIFA World Rankings.
