Capital One Cup Final
1 Mar 2015 - 4:00 PM
The Capital One Cup Final is, traditionally, the first major cup final of the English football season.
It first arrived at Wembley in 1967 when the format was altered from a two-legged affair to a final at a neutral venue.
Wembley’s first final was a truly historic one with third division Queens Park Rangers causing one of the great League Cup upsets as they came back from 2-0 down to defeat holders West Bromwich Albion 3-2.
The most recent threatened an upset when Champion’s League outfit Manchester City trailed to relegation threatened Sunderland.
However, the soon to be Premier League champions stormed back and second half goals from Toure, Nasri and Navas secured victory for The Citizens.
This season's showpiece will see a repeat of the 2008 League Cup Final when Tottenham Hotspur defeated Chelsea after extra time but who will be victorious this year?
