FA Cup holders Arsenal will kick off this season’s Semi-Final weekend at Wembley Stadium on BBC One next month.

The Gunners face Reading from the Championship on Saturday 18 April with the tie kicking off at 5.20pm.

Danny Welbeck scored the winner as Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-1 in the Sixth Round at Old Trafford to cement a Semi-Final return to Wembley Stadium for Arsene Wenger’s side.

Reading clinched their first FA Cup Semi-Final place since 1927 when they beat Bradford City 3-0 at the Madejski Stadium

The FA Cup Semi-Finals have provided Wembley Stadium with some fabulous moments down the years, not least the first FA Cup Semi-Final ever to be played at Wembley back in 1991.

Tottenham Hotspur met Arsenal in a North London derby at the twin towers and the match itself lived up to all the pre-match hype with a wonderful Paul Gascoigne free-kick helping Spurs to a 3-1 victory.

The semi-finals were played sporadically at Wembley throughout the 1990s but became a fixture at the stadium when it reopened for the 2007/2008 season.

Fittingly the new stadium had a new look to the FA Cup Semi-Final line-up with two teams without a post-war FA Cup win between them in Portsmouth and Cardiff progressing to the final.

Since then we have witnessed many dramatic games epitomised by last season's semi-finals where Arsenal progressed on penalties and Hull v Sheffield United broke the record for the highest scoring FA Cup game Wembley has ever hosted with a 5-3 thriller.

There will be four ticket prices for this season’s FA Cup Semi-Finals, starting at £33 and progressing to £43, £53 and £63 across the two ties with a £10 reduction for concessions as per each club’s own rules.

Reading, Arsenal and Aston Villa, as confirmed Semi-Finalists, will receive the initial club ticket allocation of 31,500.
