The Coca Cola Championship Play Off Final
Sheffield United 0 - 1 Burnley
Burnley returned to the top flight of English football after a 33 year absence with a sensational strike from Wade Elliott in the Championship Play Off Final.
Elliott curled his 13th minute shot into the top corner of the Sheffield United goal that sealed the Clarets' promotion to the Premier League.
United had two claims for a penalty turned down. The first for a challenge on Brian Howard and the second for Christian Kalvenes' challenge on Kyle Walker.
Burnley should have doubled their lead early into the second half but Nick Montgomery blocked Joey Gudjonsson's shot and Kyle Walker made a vital challenge with Robbie Blake ready to strike.
The Blades ended the match with ten men as substitute Jamie Ward picked up two bookings in four minutes.
